As part of the The Moog at 60: A Celebration at The Capstone Theatre (21st - 24th of November), Jacques Malchance curates an after party with some of Liverpool’s finest electronic talents, at Commune on Constance St. The event starts at 9pm and continues till late.
The after-party includes a very rare set from renowned and ultra prolific producer Reedale Rise. Rise grew up in Cornwall but relocated to Liverpool to study at University, where he started to get involved in the club scene. He is a prolific electronic music artist who has released music on Edinburgh-based label Common Dreams, Netherlands-based label Frustrated Funk and also on labels Boe Recordings, Where We Met, Emotions Electric, Childhood Intelligence, Assemble, Subwax Excursions, Propersound and Spaecial. He has performed in venues from Lisbon to Kiev. His music centres on melodic, emotional sounds and inhabits a world of electro, house and techno where emotional content is the key.
Secondly, Arp-Hld is the latest studio project from Liverpool based DJ, producer and artist Ryan Blakeley. Representing the corners of the dance floor reserved for the engaged, Arp-Hld is cosmic club music at its most hostile. Themes of Acid and 303 laden melody lace the driving drum machines of the past. This is club music for tomorrow, for the future-retro dance floor. At this event Arp-Hld will leave the confines of his studio to give the project's debut "world premiere" live performance.
Finally, live experimental electronics will be provided from Upitup’s own veteran producer Isocore.
